The East Neuk of Fife is a wonderful place for families to explore. You could spend the entire time at all the different beaches, but here are some things to do if you have a weekend in the East Neuk.
Jupiter Artland is a great day out for families. Play on the sculpted hills, visit the donkeys, wander round the beautiful woodlands. Brilliant fun for everyone.
The walk to An Lochan Uaine is a great walk in Aviemore for families and for young kids. A beautiful and magical place, without much effort getting there!
This is one of my favourite places for a walk and a play. It’s outdoors, it’s free, and the Kelpies themselves are just beautiful. The playpark is fantastic and it’s a totally wheel friendly place.
We love visiting the Wallace Monument. The kids had a great time climbing the monument and playing on each floor. It’s surprisingly child friendly, and that view from the top is totally worth the climb. The walk up the hill is lovely too.
We visited the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd on our last trip to Aviemore. It was such a fun activity for all ages and the reindeer really were gentle giants. A highlight of our trip.
We visited St Andrews Castle during our wee trip to Fife back in March. It has a really interesting history and the kids loved exploring all the different parts of the castle. A fun few hours!
If you are in Aviemore with kids, Landmark Forest Adventure Park is absolutely a must do. It is one of our favourite places we’ve visited and whether it’s summer or winter, no matter what the weather, it’s such a fun day out.
