Loudon Hill is a great family friendly hill walk in East Ayrshire. It’s a quick walk even with kids and the views from the top are beautiful.
Walks
Castle Campbell & Dollar Glen
Dollar Glen is a stunning walk through a beautiful wooded gorge and is a wonderful place for a day trip. Castle Campbell is a very picturesque castle too and it’s well worth the walk there!
An Lochan Uaine
The walk to An Lochan Uaine is a great walk in Aviemore for families and for young kids. A beautiful and magical place, without much effort getting there!
Machrie Moor
This is one of my favourite walks on Arran for families, and not too strenuous for anyone. The Machrie Moor standing stones are beautiful and impressive and honestly, a little bit magical. Highly recommend.
Conic Hill
Conic Hill has truly beautiful views overlooking Loch Lomond. It is tricky for little legs towards the top with the loose stones, but it’s a great few hours out and the views make it well worth the trip.
The Birks of Aberfeldy & The Falls of Moness
